Rep. Nathan Deal (R-Ga.) has introduced H.R. 1868, the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2009. H.R. 1868 would end the process of granting automatic birthright citizenship to the babies born in the United States to illegal aliens.
DETAILS: Often referred to as "anchor babies," these children born in the United States are one of the most prominent factors of excessive population expansion and illegal immigration. In its Spring 2005 edition, the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons reported that "[b]etween 300,000 and 350,000 anchor babies annually become citizens… In 2003 in Stockton, California, 70 percent of the 2,300 babies born in San Joaquin General Hospital's maternity ward were anchor babies…" These staggering figures tell only part of the story. Birthright citizenship incentivices illegal immigration by making anchor babies eligible to sponsor their illegal alien mothers and other relatives once they turn 21. In addition, at present, there is no formal policy that forbids DHS from deporting the illegal alien parents of a child born in the U.S. Yet in most cases, immigration officials habitually choose not to initiate removal proceedings, allowing the parents to remain in the U.S. illegally. Perhaps most starkly, anchor babies additionally draw benefits and services from taxpayer dollars. As the Journal article notes, "Anchor babies are citizens, and instantly qualify for public welfare aid…In 1994, 74,987 anchor babies in California hospital maternity units cost $215 million and constituted 36 percent of all Medi-Cal births. Now they account for substantially more than half." We are a Nation of Laws
Thank you for your recent letter regarding our national security and immigration policies. I appreciate you taking the time to convey your concerns to me. This issue is one of extreme importance. Let me begin by saying that the founding ideals of the United States of America are essentially twofold. First, we hold that all people are created equal. Second, we hold to the rule of law and not to the rule of men. Our immigration policy, like all other American policies should be firmly grounded in both of these bedrock foundations. America is a nation of immigrants that built this country into the greatest republic in the history of the world. We are also a nation of law. Consequently, if we are to be true to who we are, we must have great compassion for all people everywhere and remain the depot freedom in the world for those who would seek to enter our country legally. However, America also has a right and a responsibility to decide who comes in and out of our country and to require that they do so legally. I am opposed to allowing those who break our immigration laws to gain advantage over those who have abided by our laws. By awarding citizenship to those who have deliberately evaded our legal system, we would in essence penalize those legal applicants who are abiding by the established channels of our legal immigration process. Moreover, the first purpose of this government is to protect our people and our national security. This remains my number one priority in the United States Congress. In a post-911 world, we have a profound responsibility to secure the borders of this nation to prevent another terrorist attack. Jihadists and other terrorists must not be allowed to exploit porous borders to bring a major weapon of mass destruction into this nation and change our concept of freedom forever. Terrorists are looking for our weakest link and will exploit such weaknesses at any cost. Border security and national security are inextricably linked. Thus, as we continue to wage war abroad with Jihadist terrorists who wish to harm America, I believe that an unregulated, unsecured border poses an even more grave threat of terrorist penetration than ballistic missiles coming from rogue nations overseas. Therefore, I will not support any comprehensive immigration reform that does not effectively address border security as its most fundamental and foremost priority. I believe this can be done without undermining the contributions of the hard-working immigrants who enter our country every day by established, legal means, and as Ronald Reagan said, "A nation that cannot control its border is no longer a nation at all." Furthermore, since the 111th Congress began in January 2009, I have and will continue to support legislation that I believe effectively targets the issues surrounding illegal immigration. These include: H.R 4088 - Secure America Through Verification and Enforcement Act, which sets forth border security and enforcement provisions, including provisions respecting: increases in Border Patrol and investigative personnel; recruitment of former military personnel; use of Department of Defense (DOD) equipment; infrastructure improvements; aerial and other surveillance; a national strategy to secure the borders; emergency deployment of Border Patrol agents; and expansion of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism along the northern and southern borders. In addition, the bill sets forth conditions for the mandatory use of the E-verify system. It requires: employer/employee notification of social security number mismatches and multiple uses, and related information sharing with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS); and establishment of electronic birth and death registration systems. It amends the Internal Revenue Code to: penalize specified employers for failu!re to correct information returns; and prohibit employers from deducting from gross income wages paid to unauthorized aliens, with an exception for an employer participating in the basic employment eligibility confirmation program.H.R. 1314 - Photo Identification Security Act, which restricts the forms of individual identification that may be accepted by the federal government or by financial institutions. I am a cosponsor of this legislation. H.R. 136 - Identity Theft Notification Act of 2007, which provide that individuals and appropriate authorities are notified by the Commissioner of Social Security of evident misuse of Social Security account numbers. I am a cosponsor. H.R. 138 - Employment Eligibility Verification and Anti-Identity Theft Act, which requires an employer to take action after receiving official notice that an individual's Social Security account number does not match the individual's name. I also cosponsored this legislation. H.R. 849 - Stop the Misuse of ITINs Act of 2007, which requires the Secretary of the Treasury to notify the Secretary of Homeland Security of employer returns showing the employment of individuals not authorized to be employed in the United States. H.R. 850 - IRS Illegal Immigrant Information Act of 2007, which further addresses the disconnect between the IRS and Dept. of Homeland Security. I also recently joined with other Members of Congress to sign a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in which we stated that, "We are united in asking you not to bring amnesty legislation to the House floor... Amnesty hurts vulnerable American workers, burdens American taxpayers, and rewards lawbreakers." Nearly 100 other Members of the House of Representatives signed this letter. It is vitally important that we continue to stand for the principles that have allowed America to achieve a strong national security, the greatest level of human freedom in the world, and economic abundance unsurpassed in the history of humankind. I believe, among other things, this means aggressively protecting our borders and enforcing our legal immigration laws, and, therefore, upholding the honor of all of the Americans who lawfully immigrate to our nation in the hope of embracing freedom. They normally buy spent brass from the US Department of Defense.
Spent brass is "one time used" shell cases used by our Military for training purposes. They buy the brass, recondition it, and then reload the brass for resale to
Law Enforcement, Gun Clubs, Gun Shops, and stores like Wal-Mart.
They normally buy 30,000 lbs of spent brass at a time.This week the DoD wrote a letter to the owner of Georgia Arms and informed him
that from now on the DoD will be destroying the spent brass, shredding it.
It will no longer be available to the ammo makers, unless they buy it in a scrap
shredded condition (which they have no use for).
The shredded brass is now going to be sold by the DoD to China as scrap metal,
after the DoD pays for it to be shredded.
The DoD is selling the brass to China for less money than the ammo makers have
been paying, plus the DoD has to pay to have the brass shredded and
do the accounting paperwork.This sure helps the economy now doesn't it?
Sell cheaper to China , and do not sell at all to a proven US business.

already purchased a load of brass last week.
The DoD contacted him this week and said they were sending someone over to
make sure it was destroyed.
Shell cases he had already bought!The brass has no value to the ammo maker if it is destroyed/shredded/melted.
The ammo manufacturer only uses the empty brass cases to reload
different calibers, mainly .223 bullets.The owner of Georgia Arms says that he will have to lay off at least half of his 60 workers,
within 2-3 months if the DoD will no longer sell spent brass cases to the industry.
Georgia Arms has 2-3 months of inventory to use, by summer they're out. If the Reloading Industry has to purchase new manufacture brass cases,
then the cost of ammunition will double or even triple,

In other words tax what you have made by investing toward your retirement. This woman is a nut case! You aren't going to believe this.. Madam speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement fund, 401K and Mutual Funds! Alas, it is true - all to help the 12 Million Illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities! This woman is frightening. She quotes...' We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income, (didn't Marx say something like this?), in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest.' (I am not rich, are you?) When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied: 'We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as 'Americans'.'

Senate Bill 773 Will Trash The 1st Amendment - This is one of those times when I WISH I had been WRONG!!! Unfortunately, it now appears that I was right… but… I honestly thought we’d have more time. But the “ASG” (AMERICAN SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT) intends to strike while the iron is hot! By keeping the American people off kilter, rocked back on our heels with every kind of crisis they could throw at us, they have moved swiftly to trash the US Constitution, crush democracy, and enslave over 300 million Americans within a formerly free nation.

Do you support or oppose this bill?“ 81.8 % said they would oppose the bill and 5% said they would support it.
“The assault on the First Amendment that is being planned by the Government and the extremist Left is not limited to their desire to silence conservative talk radio,“ Hedgecock noted. “Newspapers and Television are not immune to the anti-First Amendment efforts that are at work here. In addition, the Internet is also a target for receiving the restrictive aspects of the so-called “fairness doctrine” as a means of stifling criticism for anything that is being reported or commented upon. Apparently the Administration wishes to silence any avenue from which the truth can escape the yoke of government tyranny.“

Already, Americans have taken to “whispering” in crowded rooms when conversing on topics having to do with the current presidential administration. The “FEAR” has already taken hold. It is a condition Americans are not used to and many do not recognize it, and will not, until it is too late to make a difference.
It is time for Americans to make a stand for the freedom and the liberty our forefathers died to gain for us. Later generations of American patriots lay down their lives to preserve that freedom and those liberties for us. Can we allow ourselves to do less? Well, can we?
The Old America is gone. The New America, aborning, may prove to be an abomination. There is no longer room for apathy and ignorance. There never was. It is time, now, right now, for Americans to save themselves.

Senate Bill 773 Will Trash The 1st Amendment - This is one of those times when I WISH I had been WRONG!!! Unfortunately, it now appears that I was right… but… I honestly thought we’d have more time. But the “ASG” (AMERICAN SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT) intends to strike while the iron is hot! By keeping the American people off kilter, rocked back on our heels with every kind of crisis they could throw at us, they have moved swiftly to trash the US Constitution, crush democracy, and enslave over 300 million Americans within a formerly free nation.
Now comes Senate Bill S773. We have been sleeping with one eye open, squinting at Washington, waiting for the other shoe to fall. Apparently, it is on the way down, even as I scribble these few words onto this electronic paper before me.
Using the “crisis of the day” as cover, the left is busily working to solidify their hold on the government and impose their brand of socialism on an obviously unsuspecting electorate. Why “unsuspecting”? Because the MsM (Mainstream Media) has become sycophants for the Obama Administration and the socialist left in power in Washington. These days if you want objective news reporting on anything happening in America’s government, you have to search for news sources offshore. It is something I have been doing for years as a result of the left-wing bias of the American media.
