A little Gun History
A LITTLE GUN HISTORY
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. ------------------------------
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. ------------------------------
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated. ------------------------------

Australia wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.
Australia wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns! While figures over the previous 2 5 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed. There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it. You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens. Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson. With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'. Divorce Agreement to the Government

THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY WELL PUT AND I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT'S BY A YOUNG PERSON, A STUDENT!!! OUTSTANDING.
Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:
We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.
Here is a model separation agreement:
Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.
We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O' Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).
We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street . You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens.
We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood ...
You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.
You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.
We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology , Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N.. but we will no longer be paying the bill.
We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars .... You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.
You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing , or We Are the World ...
We'll practice trickledown economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

OK, Barack and Michelle – it's my turn now.
As long as you seem to be on the road of informality, throwing tradition, etiquette, proper diplomacy, protocol and common sense out the window and replacing it with 21st century casual, I'm taking the liberty, as an American citizen, to give you a message from my heart: stop it!
For two people of your political and diplomatic level, your breezy disregard for proper behavior is embarrassing.
Just a reminder: On Jan. 20, you were sworn in as president of the United States of America and your wife became first lady. It's a huge responsibility on many levels, but the most obvious involves what we see and hear.
Judging by what we've seen and heard lately, there are problems. Remember "hope and change"? That campaign rhetoric got you elected. It was the philosophy of wishful thinking.
Hope – that you would maintain the dignity of the office and change – that you'd do what's right for the country.
Apparently we'll have to keep hoping because we got change, and it's not good.
We've been treated to you repeatedly criticizing and apologizing for our country on foreign soil in front of world leaders. Then, to make it worse, you bowed to the Saudi king, a full, from-the-waist, bow! What was that about? Bowing signifies subservience! You can make book that the Saudis and all the Middle East understands that.
Barack, the president of the United States of America is not subservient to anyone. That bow was inappropriate and demeaning to your office and to all Americans. You should be ashamed, at the very least, embarrassed. Another issue: While speaking in France, you said America has "shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive" toward Europe.
There you go again – groveling and apologizing for your country. Is it your genes, your religion or were you brought up that way?
Is demeaning your country a way to gain respect?
Then, there was the visit with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. There are guidelines to how to act and what to say, and they do not include hugs.
I realize that's part of the touchy-feely mentality of the day, Michelle, but really. You do not touch the queen; she's not your neighbor. I know we're told she put her arm around your back, but she did it after you made the first move. She did it because the woman has manners and didn't want to embarrass you. Or perhaps, like your husband, you don't know how to be embarrassed.
Oh, and when you pose for pictures with the queen, you should know that Prince Philip stands next to her. It was really unseemly for you to push your way next to her and force him off to the side. You should have stood next to Barack, allowing Philip to stand next to his wife.
You got a lot of attention for your wardrobe but really, J. Crew casual for a state visit? I like their clothes but a skirt, (wrinkled at that) a top and sweater are inappropriate. Your incessant choice of sleeveless dresses is tiresome; I am tired of armpits and muscles. Another not so minor point: The American economy is hurting. As the American first couple, you should support American designers and manufacturers for your public wardrobes; you intentionally avoid them.
That's a big mistake – for your role as first lady and someone who wants to look her best.
Speaking of that: Please remember the ever-present cameras. Did you see that picture of you sitting on a couch talking to French First Lady Carla Bruni Sarkozy?
She sits like a lady and you, with a short, tight skirt and oddly crossed legs, look like it's a coffee klatch. It's very unflattering and careless. You don't get a pass for that.
Then consider treatment of guests and gifts.
First, Tony Blair's gift to the White House of a bust of Churchill was summarily returned to the British embassy. Obama didn't want it so he returned the gift?!?!?
Michelle, please talk to him.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown was given short shrift during his U.S. visit, and his "presidential gift" was a set of videos of movies. Unfortunately, the format was incompatible for British VCRs!
As for the gift to the queen? An i-Pod loaded with show tunes, videos of her prior D.C. visit and Obama's speeches.
P.S., she already had one.
To cover that fiasco, CBS reported the queen requested that gift.
Does anyone believe that?
It seems "first couple" Barack and Michelle are having some rough patches in their new jobs.
The title of president sounds nice. It conjures images of the leader of the most powerful nation on the planet, who is accomplished, collected, smart, couth and savvy.
Well, no. The president of the United States and his wife are navigating through some difficult shoals in their forays with international leaders, and they've stepped in it big time to the everlasting embarrassment of this country.
We deserve better.
What do they teach at Ivy League schools? Clearly, nothing about manners, decorum, protocol or tradition.
And apparently, the White House department that's supposed to review such issues with the first couple – doesn't know what it's doing either. Word has it the new administration didn't know there's a State Department protocol office!
But then, when you think you know everything, why ask for advice?
Lest you think it's just me criticizing the Obamas, a British blogger came up with this description of them: "Classless. Thoughtless. Clueless."
I couldn't agree more. Wish I'd said it first.

Then, there was the visit with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. There are guidelines to how to act and what to say, and they do not include hugs.
I realize that's part of the touchy-feely mentality of the day, Michelle, but really. You do not touch the queen; she's not your neighbor. I know we're told she put her arm around your back, but she did it after you made the first move. She did it because the woman has manners and didn't want to embarrass you. Or perhaps, like your husband, you don't know how to be embarrassed.
Oh, and when you pose for pictures with the queen, you should know that Prince Philip stands next to her. It was really unseemly for you to push your way next to her and force him off to the side. You should have stood next to Barack, allowing Philip to stand next to his wife.
You got a lot of attention for your wardrobe but really, J. Crew casual for a state visit? I like their clothes but a skirt, (wrinkled at that) a top and sweater are inappropriate. Your incessant choice of sleeveless dresses is tiresome; I am tired of armpits and muscles. Another not so minor point: The American economy is hurting. As the American first couple, you should support American designers and manufacturers for your public wardrobes; you intentionally avoid them.
That's a big mistake – for your role as first lady and someone who wants to look her best.
Speaking of that: Please remember the ever-present cameras. Did you see that picture of you sitting on a couch talking to French First Lady Carla Bruni Sarkozy?
She sits like a lady and you, with a short, tight skirt and oddly crossed legs, look like it's a coffee klatch. It's very unflattering and careless. You don't get a pass for that.
Then consider treatment of guests and gifts.
First, Tony Blair's gift to the White House of a bust of Churchill was summarily returned to the British embassy. Obama didn't want it so he returned the gift?!?!?
Michelle, please talk to him.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown was given short shrift during his U.S. visit, and his "presidential gift" was a set of videos of movies. Unfortunately, the format was incompatible for British VCRs!
As for the gift to the queen? An i-Pod loaded with show tunes, videos of her prior D.C. visit and Obama's speeches.
P.S., she already had one.
To cover that fiasco, CBS reported the queen requested that gift.

It seems "first couple" Barack and Michelle are having some rough patches in their new jobs.
The title of president sounds nice. It conjures images of the leader of the most powerful nation on the planet, who is accomplished, collected, smart, couth and savvy.
Well, no. The president of the United States and his wife are navigating through some difficult shoals in their forays with international leaders, and they've stepped in it big time to the everlasting embarrassment of this country.
We deserve better.
What do they teach at Ivy League schools? Clearly, nothing about manners, decorum, protocol or tradition.
And apparently, the White House department that's supposed to review such issues with the first couple – doesn't know what it's doing either. Word has it the new administration didn't know there's a State Department protocol office!
But then, when you think you know everything, why ask for advice?

The concept of liberal interpretations limits the meaning of words only to one’s individual imagination. The Constitution means only what someone imagines it to mean. If the shoe doesn’t quite fit, a new definition will solve the problem.

I don’t know what it will take to wake up the average American, but whatever it is, it hasn’t happened yet…
The people currently stocking up on food, water, guns and ammo in record numbers, causing shortages in all the above at the retail level, are clearly awake and anticipating something, but what? Meet the “extremists...”
The people still trying to get a court somewhere in America to hear the arguments concerning the most secretive corrupt president in US history, have been awake for a long time. Meet the “birthers...” But they continue to have trouble waking anyone else up, including in the so-called halls of justice.
Is it a bankrupt dollar and a new international currency that will get their attention? – A North American Union? - An ACORN army on their doorstep? What will be the final straw that breaks the proverbial camel’s back? I don’t have the answer… Frankly, I expected the people to revolt long before now. Clearly, I had underestimated the depth of apathy and tolerance for anti-American nonsense in the average modern American. But then, so did our nation’s founders, whom I’m certain are rolling over in their graves in disgust by now.
The Silent Consent Continues
Nobody knows for how long or at what expense, but so far, the people remain silent and Washington continues to profitably interpret that silence as broad-based consent. At this late date, I have no idea what will wake up the average American or how they might react once finally awake and ready to engage in self-governance. However, I am sure about two things…
When they finally do awake, they are going to be really angry… And, the anti-American left won’t let up until then…
The clock isn’t just ticking. Time has already run out as of the 2008 election. Washington DC is currently dismantling America, individual right by individual right, in an unprecedented massive multi-faceted assault on all things American. If you are not familiar with the Democratic Socialists of America or their legislative branch, the Congressional Progressive Caucus, I strongly suggest that you take time to learn them well. They are in charge of your nation. This is who the average American is up against and they are a very well funded and organized enemy of the state.
You will not be able to take your country back without putting these two organizations out of business. The longer you wait, the tougher the battle, the higher the price. Clearly, the organizational skills of the average American are equal only to that of the stumbling bumbling Republican Party. Fragmented, distracted and disorganized, the people are no match for the leftist juggernaut running roughshod in DC. The people are lost, so they are losing… The most complex problems require the simplest of solutions. But the average American is so baffled by a daily diet of elitist B.S., that they cannot even see daylight… – When all else fails, return to the basics!

Mr. Obama...Please tell me what a "working" American is
Mr. Obama... Please tell me what a 'working' American is.
On tax day, when hundreds of thousands of people gathered at tea parties large and small, Barack Obama was making a speech about taxes. Not once did he mention the protests going on around him. Not once did he acknowledge that Americans across the country are fed up with his policies and the policies of all tax and spend politicians. Not once did he mention that the tax burden was too high for all Americans and that the debt he was leaving us will be crushing.
No, he didn't mention any of that. Instead, he mentioned over and over again how his plan would help "working" Americans. The problem is that Obama has a very strange definition of what a "working" American really is. In his socialist viewpoint, a "working" American is someone who needs a government handout... someone he can point to and say, "See that other guy? He owes you, because he is successful." Obama insults the American spirit by singling out only a portion of working Americans to suit his definition. Well, Mr. Obama, I know plenty of "working" Americans, and they should all be treated fairly and with respect.
In Obama's speech on taxes on April 15, he used line after line and sentence after sentence to divide and label Americans. Rather than uniting the country and treating everyone with the same policies, he chose to divide America so that he can impose his agenda before people have a chance to realize what's happening.
In talking about the people who joined him at the speech, Obama said, "Many have lost a job; many are fighting to keep their business open. Many more are struggling to make payments, to stay in their home, or to pursue a college education. And these Americans are the backbone of our economy, the backbone of our middle class." Why is it that only the middle class is the backbone of the economy? What about the lower class, struggling for any type of work? What about the upper class who actually run companies and hire people?
Obama continued by saying, "They need a government that is working to create jobs and opportunity for them, rather than simply giving more and more to those at the very top in the false hope that wealth automatically trickles down."
Let's stop right there. An entire paper can be written about that one sentence. First of all, we don't need the government to create jobs. That is not the role of government. Jobs are created by the private sector in response to the demand for goods and services by the citizens. In addition, his statement about "giving more and more to those at the very top" is typical class warfare and has no business in American political discussion. Those at the "very top" are not being "given more and more." Quite the contrary... those at the very top are targets for the government to TAKE more and more. Folks making a large salary aren't being given anything... they are earning it, and it has nothing to do with the government.
OK, next Obama quote: "And that's why my administration has taken far-reaching action to give tax cuts to the Americans who need them, while jump-starting growth and job creation in the process. We start from the simple premise that we should reduce the tax burden on working people."
So, Obama wants to give tax cuts to "Americans who need them." Of course, it is completely up to Obama and the liberal elite to determine which Americans fall into that category. Rather than treating everyone fairly, they will decide who gets and who gives. Then, he hits on my all-time hot button phrase. He wants to reduce the tax burden on "working people."
My dad was a blue collar worker his entire life. He died when I was just 15 years old. During the last few years, he primarily worked as a pipe-fitter. He wore a uniform similar to what you'd see from a service station attendant: dark blue pants, a light blue shirt, and work boots. Each morning he'd leave with a perfectly clean uniform, and each evening he'd return completely filthy. His clothes were brown from the dust and dirt, and you couldn't even make out the original color of the uniform. He'd work long and hard and come home exhausted. Sometimes he'd be too wiped out to play with us. Would you consider him a "working" American? I certainly would.
I also know many people who have gone through college like I did. They worked extremely hard and were constantly putting in the extra time to advance their careers, so they could do better for themselves and their families. They succeeded, not because they were "fortunate" as Obama likes to label people (as if only luck had to do with those who become successful), but because they were smart and worked hard. These friends became doctors, lawyers, engineers, traders, and business owners. I have seen many putting in 60 and 70 hour work weeks... coming home exhausted with little energy for their families at the end of the day. Are they "working" Americans? They certainly are.
The fact is that anyone earning an income is a "working" American. By definition, it's as simple as that. And all working Americans should be treated fairly. Those who make more, will pay more in taxes. Why? Because they make more money! It is reprehensible that our tax system does not treat each and every working American the same. No one should be forced to pay 30 or 35% of their income to the federal government. And Obama wants to see those rates go up? Every working American should be treated equally.
I'm a working American. I know many working Americans. Some make a lot, some make very little. All should be treated with respect. All should be treated equally. And all should be viewed by our government as citizens of a great and thriving country. That may not be the Obama way, but it is the American way.

When It Comes To Shariah Finance – Money Talks!! Ever heard the expression "Money Talks"? Why is it that Great Britain is now faced with Islamic extremism every where they turn? They have 12 Shariah courts, publicly-funded Shariah Islamic education, welfare benefits for up to four wives for every Muslim man, honor killings, children falling off school rosters and suspected of being forced into child marriages, raging domestic violence and spousal abuse, and "no-go" zones where even British police are afraid to enter for fear of Islamist violence. Why? Money. And he got it. At the June 13, 2006 Islamic Finance Trade Conference in London, Brown revealed, "Today British banks are pioneering Islamic banking - London now has more banks supplying services under Islamic principles than any other Western financial centre." You also know that Shariah is already here in the U.S., thanks to the acceptance of Shariah finance by institutions such as Citibank, HSBC, UBS and AIG, and the lack of oversight by the SEC and U.S. Treasury Department. As the headline in the Washington Times article below asks, is the West ready for this? Actually, the better question to ask is this: Does the West understand that the embrace of Shariah finance is the eventual embrace of brutal and oppressive Shariah law? "Islamic bankers should do some missionary work in the Western world to promote the concept of Shariah banking, for which many in the West are more than ready now," Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said at the World Islamic Economic Forum last month in Jakarta. Such statements have given rise to fears that Shariah finance is a stalking horse for hidden political or religious aims. Shariah finance is an extension of Islamic law, pushing a faith-based alternative to Western banking. Key Islamists who advise Shariah financial houses have called for full Shariah law to be adopted in Western countries and, in some cases, have made statements supporting terrorist groups. Shariah finance means institutions and norms that fit with Islamic law. Fully compliant Islamic financial institutions are prohibited from interest payments and require transactions to be backed by tangible assets. Speculation and hedge funds are off limits — ditto for anything connected to porn, gambling, alcohol or pork. Shariah finance targets Muslims who want to avoid what are deemed "un-Islamic" Western banks or financial practices, and appeals to clients' faith as well as their bottom line. The practice has its detractors. "A shift from present global economic practices [in which many Muslims participate] to Shariah-based practice" would mean "an unacceptable intrusion into Western culture," said Stephen Schwartz, executive director of the Center for Islamic Pluralism. Mr. Schwartz said the sector is arguably un-Islamic by contradicting the traditional Islamic teaching that "Muslims living in non-Muslim societies must accept the laws and customs of the countries to which they immigrate." Depending on the measurements used, the Shariah finance sector manages assets of $700 billion to $800 billion, according to the Islamic Financial Services Board, an industry body. Standard and Poor's estimates that the sector could reach $4 trillion before long. Shariah banks make up a small fraction of the global banking sector, and they may have suffered less than Western counterparts by being sheltered from the subprime crisis. However, as Duncan McKenzie, director of economics at International Financial Services London (IFSL), told The Washington Times: "Islamic finance is one model but is by no means a panacea. The Islamic finance industry faces a number of challenges, including the need to standardize interpretation of Shariah law, harmonize tax and regulation of the industry, and develop the skills base." Christopher Holton, vice president of the Center for Security Policy and director of its Shariah Risk Due Diligence Project, told The Times: "It is a myth that Islamic finance has provided a hedge against crisis. The FTSE Islamic Index has fallen 41 percent, and the all-world index 44 percent, similar losses over the past six months." Shariah finance remains dominated by banking, but the sector is diversifying. A growing proportion — up to 20 percent according to some estimates — is taken up by sukuk, which is a Shariah-compliant bond issuance. Malaysia is a dominant base for this particular service. Bonds can play a key role in helping countries deal with the global economic crisis, but the global sukuk market has fallen for two years in a row, in step with the global downturn. Despite the varying prohibitions, some Shariah banks find creative ways to make the equivalent of market interest rates by other means, such as by pegging debtor repayment rates to his or her future profits, or when a bank offers a "hibah," or gift to those who open an account — in essence a way of attracting new customers in lieu of interest accruals on savings. Shariah finance likely will grow in coming years, with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates being followed by Indonesia, Turkey, Singapore and some Western countries as viable locations for expansion. The IFSL recently published a detailed report on the sector highlighting how "the U.K. is getting ahead of the game, in Europe at least, in facilitating this sector" — as noted by Emile Abu-Shakra, media relations manager at British bank Lloyds TSB. Lloyds stole a march on the competition by greasing the wheels for Shariah-compliant bank-to-bank transactions, and now Britain has a bigger Shariah finance sector than Egypt or Pakistan. In total, 22 financial institutions offer Shariah-compliant services in Britain, compared with nine in the United States. However the American financial sector is eager to source and provide new products — among them Shariah finance. American International Group Inc.'s December pledge to bring Islamic home insurance to the United States was met with a written rebuke by Rep. Sue Myrick, North Carolina Republican, and Rep. Frank R. Wolf, Virginia Republican, who warned that opaque charitable transfers made by Shariah finance advisers could end up funding terrorists. Mr. Holton said some Islamic financial institutions have been implicated directly in bankrolling terrorists. "From 1988 to 2001, when it was designated a terrorist entity by the United States and the United Nations, Bank al Taqwa [registered in the Bahamas] transferred tens of millions of dollars to Hamas, al Qaeda, the Taliban, and others," he said. An elite cadre of scholars dominates the advisory boards of Shariah institutions, and these same thinkers are often called by Western institutions who want to develop Shariah-compliant products. However some, such as Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi, are banned from entry into Britain and the United States for making statements supporting Islamist terrorism, while another, Mufti Taqi Usmani, who has advised the Wall Street Islamic index, has promoted extension of full Shariah law into Western countries. Most troubling, perhaps, is the appearance of Bank Melli of Iran at the top of a listing of the world's top 500 Islamic financial institutions, published by the Banker in November 2008 and reproduced in the IFSC report. Bank Melli is under U.S. and EU sanctions for facilitating Tehran's support of Hamas and Hezbollah and funding Iran's uranium enrichment program. In total, Iran has six of the 10 biggest Shariah-compliant institutions and double the Shariah assets of any other country.

The Last of The Kennedy Dynasty
As soon as cancer was found, I noticed the immediate attempt at canonization of old Teddy by the main stream media. They are saying what a "great American" he is. I say, let's get a couple things clear & not twist the facts to change the real history.
1. He was caught cheating at Harvard when he attended it. He was expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a classmate to cheat for him.2. While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly signed up for four years instead of two . Oops, the man can't count to four. His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to England (a step up from bootlegging liquor into the US from Canada during prohibition), pulled the necessary strings to have his enlistment shortened to two years, and to ensure that he served in Europe, not Korea, where a war was raging. No preferential treatment for him like "he" charged President Bush received. 3.. Kennedy was assigned to Paris, never advanced beyond the rank of Private, and returned to Harvard upon being discharged. Imagine a person of his "education" NEVER advancing past the rank of Private. 4. While attending law school at the University of Virginia, he was cited for reckless driving four times, including once when he was clocked drivin g 90 miles per hour in a residential neighborhood with his headlights off after dark. Yet his Virginia driver's license was never revoked. Coincidentally, he passed the bar exam in 1959, amazing!!! 5. In 1964, he was seriously injured in a plane crash, and hospitalized for several months. Test results done by the hospital at the time he was admitted had shown he was legally intoxicated. The results of those tests remained a "state secret" until in the 1980's when the report was unsealed. Didn't hear about that from the unbiased media, did we.6. On July 19, 1969, Kennedy attended a party on Chappaquiddick Island in Massachusetts. At about 11:00 PM, he borrowed his chauffeur's keys to his Oldsmobile limousine, and offered to give a ride home to Mary Jo Kopechne, a campaign worker. Leaving the island via an unlit bridge20with no guard rail, Kennedy steered the car off the bridge, flipped, and into Poucha Pond.
7. He swam to shore and walked back to the party, after passing several houses and a fire station. Then two friends returned with him to the scene of the accident. According to their later testimony, they told him what he already knew, that he was required by law to immediately report the accident to the authorities. Instead Kennedy made his way to his hotel, called his lawyer, and went to sleep. Kennedy called the police the next morning and by then the wreck had already been discovered. Before dying, Kopechne had scratched at the upholstered floor above her head in the upside-down car. The Kennedy family began "calling in favors", ensuring that any inquiry would be contained. Her corpse was whisked out-of-state to her family, before an autopsy could be conducted. Further details are uncertain, but after the accident Kennedy says he repeatedly dove under the water trying to rescue Kopechne, and he didn't call police because he was in a state of shock. It is widely assumed Kennedy was drunk, and he held off calling police in hopes that his family could fix the problem overnight. Since the accident, Kennedy's "political enemies" have referred to him as the distinguished Senator from Chappaquiddick.. He pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, and was given a SUSPENDED SENTENCE OF TWO MONTHS. Kopechne's family received a small payout from the Kennedy's insurance policy, and never sued. There was later an effort to have her body exhumed and autopsied, but her family successfully fought against this in court, and Kennedy's family paid their attorney's bills... a "token of friendship"?
8. Kennedy has held his Senate seat for more than forty years, but considering his longevity, his accomplishments seem scant. He authored or argued for legislation that ensured a variety of civil rights, increased the minimum wage in 1981, made access to health care easier for the indigent, and funded Meals on Wheels for fixed-income seniors and is widely held as the "standard-bearer for liberalism". In his very first Senate roll, he was the floor manager for the bill that turned U.S. immigration policy upside down and opened the floodgate for immigrants from third world countries.9. Since that time, he has been the prime instigator and author of every expansion of and increase in immigration, up to and including the latest attempt to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. Not to mention the Pious grilling he gave the last two Supreme Court Nominees, as if he were the standard bearer for the nation in matters of right. What a pompous ass.
10.. He is known around Washington as a public drunk, loud, boisterous and very disrespectful to ladies. JERK is a better description than "great American". Let's not allow the spin doctors make this jerk a hero -- how quickly the American public forgets what his real legacy is...

Further details are uncertain, but after the accident Kennedy says he repeatedly dove under the water trying to rescue Kopechne, and he didn't call police because he was in a state of shock. It is widely assumed Kennedy was drunk, and he held off calling police in hopes that his family could fix the problem overnight. Since the accident, Kennedy's "political enemies" have referred to him as the distinguished Senator from Chappaquiddick.. He pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, and was given a SUSPENDED SENTENCE OF TWO MONTHS. Kopechne's family received a small payout from the Kennedy's insurance policy, and never sued. There was later an effort to have her body exhumed and autopsied, but her family successfully fought against this in court, and Kennedy's family paid their attorney's bills... a "token of friendship"?
8. Kennedy has held his Senate seat for more than forty years, but considering his longevity, his accomplishments seem scant. He authored or argued for legislation that ensured a variety of civil rights, increased the minimum wage in 1981, made access to health care easier for the indigent, and funded Meals on Wheels for fixed-income seniors and is widely held as the "standard-bearer for liberalism". In his very first Senate roll, he was the floor manager for the bill that turned U.S. immigration policy upside down and opened the floodgate for immigrants from third world countries.9. Since that time, he has been the prime instigator and author of every expansion of and increase in immigration, up to and including the latest attempt to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. Not to mention the Pious grilling he gave the last two Supreme Court Nominees, as if he were the standard bearer for the nation in matters of right. What a pompous ass.

OBAMA'S MOST PERILOUS LEGAL PICK
Koh: Wants US courts to apply "world law."

JUDGES should interpret the Constitution according to other nations' legal "norms." Sharia law could apply to disputes in US courts. The United States constitutes an "axis of disobedience" along with North Korea and Saddam-era Iraq.
Those are the views of the man on track to become one of the US government's top lawyers: Harold Koh.
President Obama has nominated Koh -- until last week the dean of Yale Law School -- to be the State Department's legal adviser. In that job, Koh would forge a wide range of international agreements on issues from trade to arms control, and help represent our country in such places as the United Nations and the International Court of Justice.
It's a job where you want a strong defender of America's sovereignty. But that's not Koh. He's a fan of "transnational legal process," arguing that the distinctions between US and international law should vanish.
What would this look like in a practical sense? Well, California voters have overruled their courts, which had imposed same-sex marriage on the state. Koh would like to see such matters go up the chain through federal courts -- which, in turn, should look to the rest of the world. If Canada, the European Human Rights Commission and the United Nations all say gay marriage should be legal -- well, then, it should be legal in California too, regardless of what the state's voters and elected representatives might say.
He even believes judges should use this "logic" to strike down the death penalty, which is clearly permitted in the US Constitution.
The primacy of international legal "norms" applies even to treaties we reject. For example, Koh believes that the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child -- a problematic document that we haven't ratified -- should dictate the age at which individual US states can execute criminals. Got that? On issues ranging from affirmative action to the interrogation of terrorists, what the rest of the world says, goes.
Including, apparently, the world of radical imams. A New York lawyer, Steven Stein, says that, in addressing the Yale Club of Greenwich in 2007, Koh claimed that "in an appropriate case, he didn't see any reason why sharia law would not be applied to govern a case in the United States."
A spokeswoman for Koh said she couldn't confirm the incident, responding: "I had heard that some guy . . . had asked a question about sharia law, and that Dean Koh had said something about that while there are obvious differences among the many different legal systems, they also share some common legal concepts."
Score one for America's enemies and hostile international bureaucrats, zero for American democracy.
Koh has called America's focus on the War on Terror "obsessive." In 2004, he listed countries that flagrantly disregard international law -- "most prominently, North Korea, Iraq, and our own country, the United States of America," which he branded "the axis of disobedience."
He has also accused President George Bush of abusing international law to justify the invasion of Iraq, comparing his "advocacy of unfettered presidential power" to President Richard Nixon's. And that was the first Bush -- Koh was attacking the 1991 operation to liberate Kuwait, four days after fighting began in Operation Desert Storm.
Koh has also praised the Nicaraguan Sandinistas' use in the 1980s of the International Court of Justice to get Congress to stop funding the Contras. Imagine such international lawyering by rogue nations like Iran, Syria, North Korea and Venezuela today, and you can see the danger in Koh's theories.
Koh, a self-described "activist," would plainly promote his views aggressively once at State. He's not likely to feel limited by the letter of the law -- in 1994, he told The New Republic: "I'd rather have [former Supreme Court Justice Harry] Blackmun, who uses the wrong reasoning in Roe [v. Wade] to get the right results, and let other people figure out the right reasoning."
Worse, the State job might be a launching pad for a Supreme Court nomination. (He's on many liberals' short lists for the high court.) Since this job requires Senate confirmation, it's certainly a useful trial run.
What happens to Koh in the Senate will send an important signal. If he sails through to State, he's a far better bet to make it onto the Supreme Court. So Senate Republicans have a duty to expose and confront his radical views.
Even though he's up for a State Department job, Koh is a key test case in the "judicial wars." If he makes it through (which he will if he gets even a single GOP vote) the message to the Obama team will be: You can pick 'em as radical as you like.

Immigration and Hospital Infrastructure
TWIN CRISES: IMMIGRATION AND HOSPITAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Every year, an estimated 400,000 to as high as 450,000 pregnant illegal alien women cross America’s borders. Some arrive legally with visas. They rush to the nearest hospital where they birth their ‘jackpot baby’ or more popularly known as an ‘anchor baby’. Once inside the hospital or ER, they receive unlimited ‘free’ care via U.S. taxpayers.
Their child, through a misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution meant for children of slaves in the 1800s, becomes an instant citizen. Therefore, the mother enjoys immune status for being deported out of the United States. She becomes immediately eligible for assisted housing, food stamps, child care, medical care and more. Since most of them arrive illiterate and without job skills, they become immediate wards of the federal government and local municipalities.
At an average of $8,000.00 per healthy birth to as high as $500,000.00 for premature babies or one that suffers a congenital heart defect or Down’s Syndrome, etc., the costs annually run in excess of $3.2 billion. Later, taxpayers shell out $7,000 to $8,000.00 per year for educating those children K-12. Dan Stein of www.fairus.org estimates anchor babies and other immigrant children cost U.S. taxpayers $7.4 billion annually.
In the meantime, an estimated 20 million illegal aliens may visit any U.S. hospital or ER for ‘free’ service compliments of U.S. taxpayers. The costs run into the tens of billions of dollars annually. Passed in 1986, Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act: mandated by Congress, it allows any illegal alien that needs medical attention to enter any facility without paying and be provided with unlimited medical care. Some individuals have run up millions of dollars of care. In California, 60 hospitals and ERs bankrupted out existence because of EMTALA.
Additionally, every American holding an insurance policy or making a hospital visit on his or her own money must make up the difference.

“The two local health units that are administered by the Louisiana Department of Health from January through mid-November admitted 1,200 pregnant women, most of whom were Hispanic immigrants,” Rubenstein said. “Before Hurricane Katrina, only two percent were Hispanic; now 96 percent are Hispanic [illegal].”

Through EMTALA, hospitals fight for reimbursement from the federal government, however, the American taxpayer IS the federal government’s money bags. Criminal aliens discover they can game the system and they do in ever increasing numbers.
“Emergency departments are an endangered species,” Rubenstein said. “People die from delays (caused by accelerating illegal alien visits). Autopsies of accident victims who died after reaching EDs in San Diego hospitals suggested that 22 percent of the deaths were preventable. Illegal immigration is a major factor behind the ED emergency. On the demand side, illegal aliens utilize hospital EDs at more than twice the rate of overall U.S. population: 29 percent versus 11 percent. On the supply side, uncompensated illegal alien care is the cause of many ED closures.”
Legal and illegal migrants utilize emergency rooms for a variety of ailments such as hangnails, gunshot wounds, and permanent disability that includes mental, social and personality disorders.
“Drug addiction and alcoholism are among the fastest growing of ‘disabilities’,” Rubenstein said. “A disability diagnosis automatically qualifies illegal aliens for Supplemental Security Income, a federally funded cash transfer payment.”
Additionally, EMTALA straight-jackets any hospital that refuses to serve an illegal alien with fines up to $50,000.00. Immigration lawyers and special interest groups enjoy more authority than doctors.
The costs run into the millions per one illegal alien. Case in point:
“Luis Alberto Jimenez. He worked as a gardener in Stuart, Florida. He suffered a devastating injury in a car crash with a drunken Floridian. Martin Memorial Hospital saved his life, but the crash’s impact on his brain left Jimenez incapacitated. After failing to find a rehabilitation center willing to accept an uninsured patient, the hospital kept him as a ward for years at a cost of $1.5 million. Over time, Jimenez became depressed, exhibited anti-social behavior such as spitting, yelling, kicking and defecating on the floor.
“What happened next set the stage for a continuing legal battle: Martin Memorial leased an air ambulance for $30,000.00 and flew Jimenez back to Guatemala.”
Many hospitals follow the same procedures or face financial insolvency and closure.
However, Rubenstein said, “Martin Memorial is being groomed as a test case by pro-immigration proponents. Perhaps the hospital should sue the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.”
Little known to U.S. taxpayers, EMTALA provides acute care, dialysis, air ambulances, escort services and chemotherapy. Taxpayers foot the bills for broken bones, flu, babies, pre-natal and every kind of ailment brought to medical facilities by legal and illegal migrants.
While the U.S. imports 138,000 new legal immigrants every 30 days, month in and month out, while an estimated 100,000 criminal aliens cross over the borders every month—few hospitals can withstand the onslaught and costs.
The latest PEW report showed Mexican minorities becoming the majority by 2042 with a 53 percent population in the U.S. By that time, our medical facilities across America will not be able to cope with the costs or the numbers of non-paying patients.
Meanwhile, the U.S. adds 138,000 legal immigrants every 30 days. All of them add to the EMTALA costs to U.S. taxpayers.
